The fear at the judgement of Ananaias and Saphira dissipated as they witnessed the power of God working through the apostles. Unity is restored and yet the Holiness of God was not diminished. The unity was not gained at the expense of purity. After a period of restoration and blessing came once again, a period of persecution. Here we clearly see the hearts of the Sadducees and of the Apostles. Once again, unity is not gained by weakening the purity of the gospel.
