Over the last few weeks, I've discussed many areas within the biblical marriage. Many hours of thorough study and research has gone into this topic, with much gleaned from the following book: Strengthening Your Marriage by Wayne Mack. 

This week's blog is a little different than the previous ones. This week, I'm going to recommend that all married couples who are looking to improve and strengthen their marriage have a good look through this book together. I think that you'll find the time spent reading it to be extremely beneficial to you and your spouse, all the while glorifying God within your marriage. 

Strengthening Your Marriage by Wayne Mack

Dr. Wayne Mack is a competent Biblical counselor who completed his doctorate at Westminster Theological Seminary. He is currently the Pastor of a Church in South Africa, where he serves alongside his son-in-law.  Dr. Mack has written several books on biblical relationships.

In this book, he spends nearly 200 pages helping the reader understand how to strengthen their marriage. Dr. Mack uses Scripture to walk the reader through several topics concerning marriage. He begins by pointing out God’s purpose for marriage and then works through the wife’s/husband’s responsibilities within marriage. In chapters four and five he deals with the need for good communication and financial agreement.  Chapters six and seven deal with sexual unity and raising children. The book concludes with family religion. At the end of each chapter there are helpful questions.

I would recommend this book to anyone who desires to honor God in their marriage.
