Amy Denney

Amy Denney

Children’s Ministry Director

Amy Denney began serving in the children’s ministry in 2000, shortly after marrying her husband, Chuck. They have two children, a girl and a boy. Amy was raised in the Catholic church but came to Faith Baptist in 1999 after accepting an invitation from a friend. Not long after she began attending, she accepted Christ as her Savior. While watching an end of year children’s celebration at Faith Baptist, Amy felt called to serve in children’s ministry and volunteered, along with her husband, as an AWANA leader. It didn’t take long for Amy and Chuck to both discover their passion for reaching kids with the gospel of Christ. In 2018, Amy accepted the position of Children’s Director at FBC. Along with her husband, Amy continues to serve in the AWANA program and teach K.I.D.S. Under Construction. Amy also teaches Youth 4 Truth, a daily Bible club at The Classical Academy. Amy loves to travel, especially extended road trips where the family has freedom to stop and enjoy lots of different sites. Another favorite activity is visiting and climbing lighthouses. Amy and her husband have been able to visit over 25 lighthouses during their 20 years of marriage. When Amy doesn’t have the opportunity to travel, she likes to spend her free time playing board games with her family and baking.

  • Favorite Book: The Girl Who Owned A City
  • Favorite Movie: Seven Brides For Seven Brothers
  • Last meal on Earth: Marinated Filet Mignon cooked on a cast iron grate over an open flame in a Franklin stove, during a snowstorm. My Moms homemade macaroni and cheese, warm milk cookies, and a pint of Ben & Jerry’s Chubby Hubby ice cream. (Yes, the entire pint – it is a serving. 😊)
  • A perfect day…….a cool morning, sitting out on a porch, overlooking the changing leaves of Fall, the smell of a fire burning, quiet time with no dogs barking or cars driving by, a hot cup of tea, meaningful discussion with my husband and children, putting a puzzle together, laughing and learning something new.
